PVC Corrugated Sheet Machine

PVC Corrugated Sheet Machine

Product Overview

The PVC Corrugated Sheet Extrusion Line produces wavy roofing and cladding sheets used in agricultural, industrial, and residential construction. These lightweight, impact-resistant sheets provide weather protection while allowing natural light transmission in translucent formulations.

The line uses a single-screw extruder (SJ-90/120) with an annular die that produces a flat tube, which is then slit and spread into a flat sheet before entering the corrugated forming station. The forming machine creates wave profiles compatible with standard roofing profiles (840, 1050, 760 types), ensuring the sheets can be installed alongside existing roofing materials.

PVC corrugated sheets are available in transparent, translucent, and opaque formulations. Transparent grades (light transmission 70-85%) are used for skylights and greenhouse roofing, while opaque grades with UV stabilizers provide long-lasting weather protection for industrial and agricultural buildings.

The high-speed cooling and forming system achieves production speeds of 3-8 m/min, making this an efficient production line for high-volume roofing material supply. Online cutting to length enables direct packaging without secondary processing.

Production Process

From raw material to finished product — each step is engineered for quality and efficiency.

1

Material Preparation

PVC compound with UV stabilizers (for outdoor grades), impact modifiers, and optional coloring. Transparent grades use high-clarity PVC resin with minimal filler.

2

Extrusion & Annular Die

The extruder produces a molten tube through an annular die. The tube is slit and spread into a flat sheet of uniform thickness.

3

Corrugated Forming

The flat sheet enters a corrugated forming machine with matching upper and lower roller dies that create the wave profile (840, 1050, or 760 type).

4

Cooling & Sizing

The corrugated sheet passes through a cooling and sizing section that fixes the wave profile and prevents deformation. Water spray cooling accelerates solidification.

5

Cutting to Length

A synchronized flying cutter cuts sheets to standard lengths (1m, 2m, 3m, 6m) without stopping the line. Cut length is programmable.

6

Stacking & Packaging

Cut sheets are automatically stacked and packaged with protective separators to prevent surface scratching during transport.

Why Choose Wings Plastic

★

Multi-Profile Capability

Interchangeable forming rollers produce 840, 1050, and 760 wave profiles — the three most common roofing profiles — from a single line with 30-minute changeover.

★

Transparent & Opaque

Line handles both transparent formulations (85% light transmission) for skylights and opaque UV-stabilized grades for roofing, maximizing market coverage.

★

High-Speed Forming

Production speeds of 3-8 m/min deliver 1,000-3,000 square meters per shift, making this one of the highest-output PVC sheet lines per investment dollar.

★

Online Length Cutting

Flying cutter enables continuous production with programmable cut lengths — no stoppage needed for size changes, maximizing machine utilization.

★

UV Stabilization

Formulation guidance includes UV stabilizer packages for 10-15 year outdoor weathering, ensuring products meet agricultural and industrial roofing standards.

Quality Assurance

Every production line undergoes rigorous quality verification before delivery:

  • Wave profile dimensions verified against standard templates
  • Light transmission measured for transparent grades using lux meter
  • Impact resistance tested per ASTM D5420 (falling weight)
  • UV accelerated weathering test (QUV) for outdoor grade certification

Typical Applications

Roofing sheets Wall cladding Skylight panels Greenhouse roofing

Frequently Asked Questions

The line produces 840 type (most common, 840mm coverage), 1050 type (wider coverage, 1050mm), and 760 type (smaller wave, 760mm). Profile changes require swapping the forming rollers (30 minutes).

With proper UV stabilization, PVC corrugated sheets last 10-15 years in moderate climates. In high-UV environments (tropical, desert), expect 7-10 years. Translucent grades may yellow slightly over time.

Yes, opaque sheets can be produced in any color using pigments. Common colors are white, grey, blue, and green. Transparent grades are typically clear or blue-tinted.

PVC corrugated sheets are lighter (1-2 kg/m² vs 3-5 kg/m²), don't rust, offer better light transmission (transparent grades), and are easier to cut and install. However, they are less fire-resistant and have lower structural strength than metal.
